Mag too small for double barrel design. Except if it is plasma gun, but then why the hell do you need flashbrake muzzle? I am confused.

Haha sure. In all seriously though, artists can take certain liberties with their work, especially conceptual pieces. Consider that this is a Sci-fi weapon. It does not necessarily need to adhere to realistic weapon design. It's possible that the gun was produced following the advancement of firearms technology. It's possible that this gun comes from a different universe where physics work differently. It's possible that the internal mechanisms work differently than they would with modern systems. It's possible that this gun very well would not work if you tried to produce it today, but may work in a different world or time. This is why artists have a little breathing room, especially when it comes to designing things that exist in different conditions. It's not stupidity, it's flexible restraints. It is literally the definition of 'artistic license'. Critique is always helpful, criticism is a step down, and insults are just petty.

OK, think about it in stretch of disbelief.
^ pretty much explains it.

However - if you are going with the fanasy-punk - why not to detach every grounding in reality and go for complete something something shoots plasma pellets?

This gun is really meant to be grounded in reality more than it does within fantasy, and there comes the problem. What kind of projectile will you shoot out of it?
If that's regular bullet, then i can only see 6 shots with such thickness of barrel == birdshot revolver. That makes flashbrake somewhat understandable, YET i can see that trigger is full auto and there are 16 shots on holo projector. So then this is something else.
Why do you need flashbrake muzzle for anything but powder powered gun? If this is gauss/railgun/plasma/laser - in fact everything which not involves explosive reaction going on at start of projectile path- you do not need flashbrake - because  there is no flash.
